Reed
Hughes D.V.M
I was born and raised in Hamilton and
graduated from Hamilton High School in 1982. I received my bachelor of
art degree from Miami University in 1986 and my doctorate from Ohio
State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.
I enjoy being outdoors and
I am a cycling euthanist. My dog's name is Tala and she is a Belgian
sheepdog. I have a son named Blake and a daughter named Lexi
and they are the joys of my life!

Kristy Barnhill- Registered

I graduated in 2005 from The University of Cincinnati. I have
been a part of Brookside Animal team since September 2002. I have a cat
named Layla and a cocker spaniel name Carson.I enjoy dancing and
singing in my spare time.

Rose

I am currently working on obtaining my veterinary
technician degree from Raymond Walters College. I have been a part of
the Brookside team since March of 2006. The animals I own are a horse,
two dogs and a few cats. In my spare time I enjoy horseback riding and
spending time with my family.

Hilary Tyree-Receptionist
I graduated in 2003 from Miami University with a
Bachelor of Arts degree. I joined the Brookside team in April 2006. I
have 3 cats at home named Chubs, Zeusy, and Zoe. When I’m not
hanging out with my beloved felines I am either catching a film or
playing music as a disc jockey.

Pitch-Client Relations
Pitch has been living at the clinic
since 2002. He is 4 ½ years old and loves food! He was
recently promoted to front counter manager due to his anxious
personality to meet all the felines who arrive at the hospital. He is
very good at supervising lunch breaks and loves to take his
after lunch naps on any stack of paper lying around. He is our
professional paperweight!
Mia-Treatment
Area Manager
Mia has
been our treatment area manager since 2003. She is 3 ½ years
old. Mia is a shy but friendly cat who loves blondes. She likes to
climb up and sit on your shoulder so she can try to chew on your hair.
We also call our little Mia a thief because she is always
running off with miscellaneous objects in her mouth.

Goblin-Front Counter Manager
Goblin has been our front counter manager since 1999. He
was born in a barn and was the topic of
conversation when people arrived because he was born with only a stub
for his tail. Goblin had a huge appetite for human food and loved being
the center of attention in the reception area. On a sad note, Goblin
was humanely euthanized in January 2007 due to kidney failure. He was
16 years old and is forever remembered by the staff and clients at
Brookside.
