At Brookside Animal Hospital we firmly believe in preventative care for your pet.  This includes annual wellness visits, dental care, proper life stage nutrition, and vaccinations.

Vaccinations

We recommend vaccinating your pet annually to prevent disease and illness and to keep your pet as healthy as possible.  If you have any questions regarding our vaccines please see our Pet Care page or call our office at (513) 737-5500.

WELLNESS EXAMS

We recommend annual physical exams for pets of all ages. Keep in mind that pets age much more rapidly than people and some age related diseases caught in the early stages can often be controlled through medication and even simple dietary changes.  A physical exam consists of Dr. Hughes performing an oral exam, checking both ears, listening to their heart and lungs palpating their abdomen, obtaining their temperature, and giving any annual vaccines needed.  

Boarding Facility

Boarding Facility- We offer boarding for cats, dogs, and event caged pets, who are current clients.  Because we don’t board a large number of pets our space does fill fast, especially prime holiday weeks.  We suggest you make your reservations well in advance.  Please contact us for more information on rates and availability.  Requirements are that vaccines are current, at least a week prior to scheduled boarding date.  

Radiology

Our facility is equipped to perform radiographs as needed.

Microchip Identification

We offer American Kennel Club (AKC) microchip identification to cats and dogs.  We recommend microchipping your pet, in the unfortunate event your pet would become lost, they are more likely to be returned to you.

Surgery

We are well equipped to perform all routine surgeries for your pet.  We also perform a wide range on non-routine type surgeries and if needed can provide a referral to an appropriate specialist.
